A February of Momentum: Community, Education & Celebration

At Liberty Savings Bank, every month is an opportunity to show up for the communities we serve. This past month was filled with meaningful connections, local partnerships, student engagement, and a few well-earned celebrations along the way.

From Venice to Lakewood Ranch to Sarasota and Bradenton, here’s a look at what we’ve been part of recently.

Honored by Our Venice Community

We had the privilege of attending the Best of Venice awards hosted by the Venice Gondolier Sun.

Being recognized by our Venice community is something we never take lightly. These awards represent the trust you place in us and the relationships we’ve built over the years. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support and proud to serve such a vibrant, engaged community.

Connecting Through the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance

Building strong business relationships is a big part of strengthening our local economy. Our team was proud to participate in an event with the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, where committees shared ways members can stay involved and connected.

Sally and Lauren represented Liberty Savings Bank and enjoyed connecting with fellow professionals, including Katlyn, Marketing Manager at SERVPRO.

Being part of a collaborative organization like the Business Alliance allows us to stay engaged, informed, and connected to the needs of the growing Lakewood Ranch community.

Gathering Around Local Favorites

We also had an absolute blast spending time at Pizzeria Della Nonna. There’s nothing better than great pizza, familiar faces, and genuine conversation. Moments like these remind us that community banking is about relationships first.

And of course, we made time for coffee.

We enjoyed connecting with neighbors at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii and later spent a wonderful morning with friends at Joy Coffee Bar. These relaxed settings give us the chance to listen, learn, and simply enjoy time with the people we serve.

Conversations over coffee often turn into deeper connections — and that’s what community banking is all about.

Supporting Habitat for Humanity at Show Jumping Under the Stars

We were proud to attend Show Jumping Under the Stars at Fox Lea Farm for the Friday Night Grand Prix.

Each week, this incredible event highlights a local nonprofit, and we were especially honored to see Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County featured.

Habitat’s mission to help families build safe, stable homes aligns closely with our own values. Supporting organizations that create long-term impact in our community is something we’re deeply committed to.

Investing in the Next Generation

One of the highlights of the month was seeing Laura Grey volunteer at Lakewood Ranch High School for the Big Bank Theory program, operating the “That’s Life” booth.

This hands-on financial literacy initiative helps students understand real-world financial concepts in a relatable and approachable way. The program’s goal is to build confidence, encourage responsibility, and help students develop foundational skills they’ll carry with them into adulthood.

Financial education is one of the most important investments we can make in our community’s future, and we’re proud to support programs that make a difference.

Fellowship & Service with Sarasota Rotary

Community leadership and service were also front and center at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Sarasota, where Sally and our team connected with Mary Ann and fellow members.

The Rotary focuses on humanitarian projects, supporting education and youth programs, promoting health and well-being, and strengthening communities both locally and globally. Being involved in organizations that prioritize service and leadership allows us to stay aligned with initiatives that truly matter.

Supporting Specialized Education in Bradenton

We also had the opportunity to connect with Pawel Lipinski, owner of Ave Maria University Preparatory School, alongside Sally and Crystal.

Ave Maria University Preparatory School focuses on individualized education for students with learning differences, offering personalized instruction, small class sizes, and supportive programs that help students grow academically, socially, and personally.

Supporting educational institutions that meet students where they are and help them thrive is an important part of building a stronger community.

Celebrating Our Lakewood Ranch Team

We wrapped up the month with a well-deserved celebration at PopStroke for our Lakewood Ranch team.

Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our clients every day does not go unnoticed. Taking time to celebrate team achievements strengthens our culture and reinforces the pride we have in the work we do.

A little friendly competition on the putting green made it even better.

More Than Banking

Whether we’re supporting nonprofits, engaging with local schools, collaborating with business leaders, gathering over coffee, or celebrating our team, our goal remains the same — to be a trusted, active partner in the communities we serve.

Thank you for welcoming Liberty Savings Bank into your events, your organizations, and your conversations. We’re proud to serve Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, and Bradenton, and we look forward to continuing to grow together.
