At Liberty Savings Bank, we don’t just serve the community—we’re part of it. Every handshake at a local event, every ribbon snipped at a grand opening, and every dollar donated to a worthy cause is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to the people and businesses that make Sarasota and Manatee County such vibrant, thriving places to call home.

This past month has been a whirlwind of community connections, local collaborations, and meaningful moments that remind us why we love what we do. We’re not just bankers. We’re neighbors. We’re volunteers. We’re champions of small businesses, supporters of nonprofits, and proud participants in the heart of our community.
Let’s take a closer look at how Liberty Savings Bank has been showing up for our community. You’ll see the faces behind the smiles, the stories behind the events, and the impact we’re making together.
There’s something special about watching a small business grow, and we were thrilled to celebrate a big moment for one of our neighbors!
We had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Venice Family Chiropractic, where Dr. Chad Leiser and his team opened their doors to the community. Watching a local business owner take the leap and follow their passion is inspiring, and we’re here to cheer them on every step of the way.
It’s easy to talk about community support—but it’s the doing that matters. That’s why we’re proud to support START, a service club dedicated to lending hands-on support to local nonprofits that improve the well-being of individuals in Sarasota County.
START brings together a network of caring people who roll up their sleeves and get things done—whether that’s helping families in need, supporting educational programs, or lending a hand at fundraising events.
At Liberty Savings Bank, we believe that when nonprofits thrive, the whole community benefits. That’s why we’ll continue to show up, support, and help lift up those who serve others.
Banking is about more than accounts and loans—it’s about building relationships. And there’s no better place to make meaningful connections than at local community events.
Here’s a snapshot of where we’ve been this past month:
We loved attending the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Coffee Club at Lakewood Ranch Prep’s Lower Campus. Events like this remind us that community growth happens when people connect. If you haven’t been to a Coffee Club, we encourage you to give it a try. You never know who you’ll meet or what collaborations might come from a simple conversation over coffee.
We were proud to attend the Osprey Nokomis Chamber of Commerce’s “Tribute to Community Care” event, where nonprofits shared their missions and received much-deserved recognition. A huge shout-out to START for receiving the 2025 Community Care Award! These events remind us that generosity fuels positive change—and we’re honored to be part of that circle of care.
Here’s something we’re really proud of—two of our incredible team members, Danielle and Lisa, were honored as “Volunteers of the Year” by Habitat for Humanity. Their work on the Development and Homeowners Service Committees has made a real difference in the lives of families seeking affordable housing.
Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity means helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. It means reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, mentoring families, and making sure they have the tools and support they need to succeed. Danielle and Lisa have been doing this work for years, and their dedication is a perfect example of how Liberty Savings Bank shows up beyond the branch walls.
Want to get involved with Habitat for Humanity in your area? Reach out to your local chapter. You’ll be amazed at how much of a difference you can make—whether you’re swinging a hammer on a build day or helping organize a fundraiser.
At Liberty Savings Bank, we know that transitioning to senior living can be overwhelming. That’s why we joined in hosting a Munch & Learn event at the Towers of Venice, bringing together experts in real estate, downsizing, financial planning, and estate liquidation to share insights in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
The feedback was incredible! Guests told us they left feeling informed, empowered, and ready to take their next steps with confidence. Plus, the light bites and refreshments didn’t hurt!
If you or a loved one are considering the transition to senior living, keep an eye out for our future events. We’re here to help make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Every event we attend, every ribbon we cut, and every family we help is part of a bigger mission: to build a stronger, more connected, and more resilient community for everyone.
So, next time you see Liberty Savings Bank at a local event, don’t be a stranger. Come say hello! We’re here to support you, your business, and our shared community—today, tomorrow, and every day after.
