Giving Back in August: Liberty Savings Bank’s Community Moments

August was a month full of connection, service, and celebration for our Liberty Savings Bank team. From volunteering with local nonprofits to supporting community events, our team showed once again how much heart they bring to everything they do.

Here are some highlights:

Fighting Hunger With All Faiths Food Bank

We kicked off the month with our Jacaranda Financial Center Manager, Sandy, volunteering with All Faiths Food Bank. Her smile said it all as she gave her time to fight hunger and strengthen the Venice community. Later in the month, more Liberty team members joined the effort, helping assemble bags of food for those in need—reminding us how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

Supporting Blessing Bags Initiative

Our commitment to serving others also shined through with the Blessing Bags initiative, where our team helped package dinners and provide essential supplies for nearly 200 homeless individuals in Manatee County. Moments like these remind us what it truly means to be part of a community that cares.

Networking with Community Leaders

August also brought incredible opportunities to connect with local organizations and leaders. We joined the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance After Hours at Town Square, where we networked with fellow professionals and shared inspiration with Jennifer Fritch of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.

Showcasing Nonprofits That Make a Difference

We also loved meeting Emily and Leona from Manatee Habitat for Humanity at the Coffee Club & Non-Profit Showcase. Events like these highlight the amazing organizations making a real difference in our community and give us a chance to learn, collaborate, and grow together.

Celebrating Small Business & Nonprofit Excellence

On August 21, our team attended the 45th Annual Manatee Chamber Small Business & Non-Profit of the Year Awards at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. With more than 200 nominations and 32 finalists, the event celebrated excellence in our local business community and the organizations that enrich life in Manatee County.

Building Stronger Business Connections

Just days later, Lauren represented Liberty at the BNI Circle of Success Visitors Day, once again alongside our inspiring friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters. It was a wonderful morning seeing how this business community uplifts and supports one another.

Dancing for a Cause at Parkinson Place

Finally, we couldn’t be prouder of our Regional Sales Manager, Danielle Bachar, who is stepping onto the stage this fall in Parkinson Place’s inaugural Ballroom Blitz Gala. This Dancing-With-the-Stars-style fundraiser will raise vital funds for Parkinson Place’s mission of providing therapies, education, and support for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. We’re cheering Danielle on every step of the way!

Hear how you can help danielle reach her goal!
