In late September, members of our team joined Manatee County Habitat for Humanity to celebrate one of those homes: the dedication of Karlee's new house in Bradenton. ## The First Home at Kings Cross Place Karlee's home is the first completed home in Kings Cross Place, Manatee County Habitat's newest community and its most ambitious project to date. The neighborhood is just east of Oneco in Bradenton. It will include 27 three- and four-bedroom homes, built with sustainability, durability, and modern living in mind. Every home will be sold to a low-income family in Manatee County through an affordable mortgage. Karlee is the 2026 Faith Build homeowner. Faith Build is a partnership between Habitat and local congregations, families, and organizations who came together to build her home. ## Meet Karlee Karlee is a lifelong Bradenton resident, a law student, and a Civil Trial Clerk with the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. Her path to homeownership included significant challenges. Today she shares her story publicly to encourage others, and she continues to serve her community while pursuing her law degree. For Karlee and her daughter, the new home means far more than a place to live. Bernie Quinn, President and CEO of Manatee County Habitat for Humanity, welcomed guests. Kaveecia Moore, Director of Homeowner Services, introduced Karlee and presented her with a flag and Bible. Pastor Anthony Drake of Vision Church Sarasota offered a blessing of the home.
